Job Readiness
Job Readiness
The Job Readiness 12 Steps to Personal and Professional Development program is designed to prepare individuals to work towards and achieve their career goals. This includes assessing past and current job performance and determines where improvements can be made. This course will help individuals understand what is expected of a diligent worker; understand the importance of ethics in workplace; and develop positive work habits. Participation in this program may be required prior to participating in any other AIC training programs.
Upon completion of the program, the client will be able to:
- Understand personal abilities
- Determine mission in life
- Understand their current skill level
- Determine job objectives
- Understand the importance of working with integrity
- Be able to communicate in the workplace effectively
- Know how to manage conflict in the workplace
- Know how to effectively manage personal time and money

WIN Career Readiness
WIN Career Readiness
Win Career Readiness is a skills based, online instructional tool created to help learners build the skills necessary to get the job they want. WIN courseware is aligned to the Work Keys assessment, and is used across the nation along with Career Readiness Certification to help individuals build and certify their skills. Participation in the WIN Readiness courseware is required prior to completing any other AIC sponsored job training program.
Upon completion of the program, the client will be able to:
- Identify and remediate skill gaps
- Successfully complete the Work Keys assessment
- Earn National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

Certified Nursing Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistant
The CNA program is designed to fully train and certify individuals who aspire to become a certified nursing assistant. The course will educate students about job duties that include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with patient assessment and care planning
- Assisting patients in meeting nutrition and elimination needs
- Assisting patients with mobility, personal hygiene, and grooming
- Ensuring patient safety and environmental cleanliness
Upon completion of the program, the client will be able to:
- Check and record vital signs
- Observe and report patient response to care
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene and grooming

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician
The pharmacy technician program is an accelerated course operated and instructed by a certified pharmacist in the state of Indiana. All instruction is condensed into five weeks of teaching, learning, and hands on activity. You will be given thorough and complete preparation that will enable you to become a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Indiana.
Upon completion of the program the client will be able to:
- Assist pharmacists with the daily functioning of pharmacy-related activities
- Articulate the history of medicine, ethical and legal aspects of drug dispensing, the role of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy terminology, and dosage calculations
- Demonstrate entry level knowledge and skills in the area of pharmacy law and ethics
- Demonstrate entry level knowledge and skills in the inpatient practice for hospital and extended care facilities
- Demonstrate entry level knowledge and skills in practice of retail and specialty pharmacies

Learning Skills Center
Learning Skills Center
The Learning Skills Center will provide support services that will focus on responding to the individual needs of program clients by providing courses, tutoring, computer access, and instructional resources to help ensure success in the WIN Career Readiness program and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The Learning Skills Center will also assist clients in transferring skills and knowledge gained from the WIN Career Readiness program and NCRC into their academic, career, and personal life.
Upon completion of the program, the client will be able to:
- Demonstrate improved competency in training program subject matter
- Utilize skills to improve personal quality of life

Computer Lab
Computer Lab
The computer lab offers a number of hands-on computer classes for those with little or no computer experience and for those who want to learn new computer applications. Class topics will include computer basics, email use, internet basics and internet search tools. In addition, introductory classes for career development and senior training such as word processing, power point, spreadsheets and social media will also be available. AIC will develop additional programs as the need arises.
Upon completion of the program, the client will be able to:
- Understand basic computer hardware/software functions and develop working knowledge of computer terminology
- Perform basic computer tasks in a Windows environment
- Use the Internet and the World Wide Web
- Use email and other forms of online communication
- Effectively access and navigate web sites
- Perform basic navigation skills to using Microsoft Word program.
- Perform basic uses and functions of the Microsoft PowerPoint program
- Perform basic navigation skills to effectively use the Microsoft Excel program

Quick Step Training Center
Quick Step Training Center
The Quick Step Training Center is designed to provide customized training solutions for employers. The training center offers professional development training opportunities in an environment modified to replicate the employer’s work setting. The Anderson Impact Center will aggressively work with the Madison County Chamber and area employers to seek out collaborative training and employment opportunities.
Program Objectives:
- To reduce costs associated with employer training needs
- To provide high quality specific training options for employers
- To produce highly trained employees that meet specified short and long term employer needs.

Employer Referral Network
Employer Referral Network
The Employment Referral Network database is a job matching system in which area employers can request trained job applicants who meet employer needs and performance standards. Working with the employer, AIC will provide counseling or other support services to its referrals for a period of 90 days. After which, AIC will periodically follow up with the employer and employee.
Program Objectives:
- To create a database of local employers who formally or informally agree to accept AIC referrals
- To assist with employer hiring initiatives
- To facilitate corporate partnerships and collaboration opportunities with AIC or other local community service providers

Information and Advocacy Center
Information and Advocacy Center
The Information and Advocacy Center will serve as a “one stop” service center for client’s to receive information, resources and advocacy support that will focus on working through government and/or charitable systems to get people the help needed in order to meet basic needs (e.g. housing, utilities, food, transportation, childcare, etc.).
Program Objectives:
- To collaborate with various sectors of the community to provide client with a comprehensive plan for self sufficiency.
- To help client become self sufficient by improving access to community and social services
- To provide client support and assistance with navigating service pathways
